Dr. Mark Wood
When it comes to the care of our residents, we strive for nothing but the best services possible and it all begins with our Director of Medical Services, Dr. Mark Wood. He specializes in geriatrics, and has been Magnolia’s medical director since 2002. He makes regular rounds at our facility to evaluate and make sure the residents needs are being met. He is also on-call for any emergency needs that happen to come up. Our administrative team consist of LPN’s with over 50 years of combined experience.
Nursing Care Standards
The state of Ohio only requires a licensed nurse to be in the facility for 30 hours per week, however we choose to provide licensed nurses on-site 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. We believe our residents deserve the highest standards of nursing care, therefore, medications and treatments are administered by licensed nurses with follow-up evaluations done for effectiveness. Along with these nurses, our nursing assistants provide the highest level of personal care to our residents.
Magnolia Terrace also maintain a working relationship with our local home health agencies to provide extended services including physical therapy & occupational therapy (PT/OT) and home health and hospice.
All of these services are provided right inside our facility. In most cases the resident DOES NOT need to leave Magnolia Terrace.
Per ODA, we are certified for Waiver. Additionally we are ODA certified for Memory Care Assisted Living. Although we do not have a secured unit and can not care for exit seeking individuals. Magnolia does not do direct admission of ODA waiver participants; we offer this option to current residents who’ve spent down their funds.
